The Hurricanes are on the road over the past three seasons; the Jags are at home during their two-season Super Rugby history. The Reds have won just eight of their last 21 home games, while the Brumbies went just on the road last season. Super Rugby Predictions

Stormers to struggle in Christchurch

The Chiefs' victory away at the Blues this morning makes the Crusaders' demolition job on them last week look even more impressive. I waxed lyrical about them in my outright preview and have seen no reason to back down from that. They are unchanged this weekend and will be extremely hard to contain. The Stormers will be downhearted after they threw away quite literally an overthrown line-out victory in the last play of the game against the Waratahs.

They were not convincing in defence and this should be exposed against Kiwi opposition. I expect the Crusaders to run up a big score here. OK, I get it. Rebels star man Will Genia should cause problems for the Sunwolves.

The hosts with a handy start again looks the best value. Waratahs 12 V Sharks 8 1 Draw. Sharks 37 d Waratahs 14 at Kings Park. The Waratahs left it late against the Stormers in their season opener, scoring after the siren to snatch a win in Sydney. The Sharks had a handy record at home in ; the Waratahs were a miserable on the road.

Bulls 15 V Lions 9 1 Draw. Lions 51 d Bulls 14 at Emirates Airline Park. After cooling their heels with a Week 1 bye, the Bulls pulled off the upset of the young season by edging the heavyweight Hurricanes last weekend.

The Lions have cruised to a start, downing the Sharks and Jaguares in an opening fortnight at home. Kwagga Smith is unavailable this week, prompting a pack reshuffle. The Lions have won four of their last five against the Bulls, including a seven-tries-to-one slaughter in Johannesburg last season. The Lions boast a home record since the start of last year , while the Bulls are a dreadful on the road during the same period.

Hurricanes 1 V Jaguares 0. Hurricanes 40 d Jaguares 22 at Westpac Stadium. The Hurricanes make their first-ever trip to Argentina, aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of a season-opening loss to the lowly-rated Bulls. The Jaguares will be relieved to be back on home soil after back-to-back losses in South Africa to the Stormers and Lions to kick off The Hurricanes are on the road over the past three seasons; the Jags are at home during their two-season Super Rugby history.

Buenos Aries is a hostile venue, but with Jordie Barrett joining the squad and brother Beauden likely to start after making only a late cameo last week, the Hurricanes should be able to weather the early storm and blow the Jaguares away late. Your email address will not be published.
